About Us

Hi, Hey, Hello, Howdy and Welcome!

We are Declan Fraser Racing and just like you, we like Sunday drivers and long walks on the beach.

JUST KIDDING! We like fast cars, fast tracks and fans!

(We do love a long walk on the beach though)

Based in sunny Queensland, the DFR team are a family operation supporting our (second) youngest member in his racing career and not so secretly enjoying every minute of our second home being race tracks Australia wide.

In 2008, Declan stepped into a Go Kart and never looked back. Go Karting took the Fraser family Australia wide and then international; with Declan taking out multiple titles throughout the years before ending on a high, taking home the Gold Coast Race of Stars surfboard in 2016.

In 2017, Declan climbed into a Toyota 86 for the action packed and ever exciting Toyota 86 Racing Series – think crashes, race tape, late night pizzas in the pits, 2am finishes and a 5am start the next morning. Throughout the years, Declan smashed records, took home multiple trophies and along the way we all made lifelong friends that have become our extended racing family.

In 2020, Declan did a stint in a TCR in Malaysia and was set to jet for another round at the Melbourne Grand Prix, however thanks to rona the racing season was put on hold.

At the end of 2020, Declan jumped into a Super3 with Anderson Motorsport with the season being cut short again

2021 saw Declan take another step up into the Super2 Series with Matthew White Motorsport. The year again extremely interrupted with Rona, was difficult to manage but Declan did an amazing job with little running, coming away from the season as the only rookie in the 2021 championship to score an overall podium. Unfortunately a wheel nut failure at the final round of the championship put Declan out of contention for the Rookie Championship honours but his true speed and talent did not go unnoticed and was approached by Triple Eight Race Engineering to drive for them in the 2022 season.

2022 has been Declan’s biggest year yet, with the transition into the highly professional Triple Eight Race Engineering outfit. Declan has achieved several podium finishes and taken pole numerous times throughout the session, thanks to the support and mechanical wizardry of the entire T8 team. The greatest achievement of Declan’s racing career came in June 2022, with the announcement that he would be co-driving the BATHURST 1000 *gasp!* with none other than his racing hero and V8 legend, Craig Lowndes. It was one of the hardest kept secrets for the Fraser family, with Justin fan girling more than Declan, and the whole crew bursting with pride watching the Kid make his dream a reality.

Declan currently holds the Super2 Championship lead ahead of the next round at Sandown on August 19th – 21st. In true Fraser fashion, all members (bar the youngest and favourite) will be trackside, cheering the Kid on alongside our extended family and friends.

Be sure to come and say Hi – we do love a chat!
